For the past week I've been playing around with readzee.com - yet another RSS feed reader, similar to Feedly, Inoreader, NewsBlur, etc. But built exactly for me, exactly how I want it to work.

At the moment it has the core features - user accounts, feed subscriptions, folders, article view panes. More features coming as I realize they're needed.

Competition Whale now has a competitions statistics page derived from the competitions it's hosting. Did you know that the average online competition runs for 41.4 days? Neither did I.

Also added a Deals and Freebies page which hosts the same Amazon feed as this website in more detail.

Sheffield Gigs now has a band explore wall - explore artists by their profile photos. I've always had the idea of exploring bands by their merchandise and this might be the first step.

Carried out a little performance optimizations pass. Quick test results:

Good point! It's now been added.

• Competition cards now pull through product descriptions from Amazon to give more context to the prizes on offer.

• Added a "Daily Summary" of industrial action happening today
• Added a dedicated industrial action stats page which aggregates over all the data the website holds
• Added an RSS feed to the homepage and each union page covering the union summary updates
• Tweaked the ical integration and added to the union and sector pages

• Replaced the Social competition filters with Marketing related preferences and the ability to hide the entry page thumbnails for a smaller page scroll

Admirably.co.uk has launched! And now I'm slowly migrating content and functionality.

This was website previously known as toodle.uk, but I really wanted a true .co.uk domain and unfortunately toodle is haunted by a domain squatter. I've also split off all my non-technical nonsense to Hello Matt as while shopping I noticed that domain was available as well and it sounds cool.
